Comparison / Clevra vs BackflowFiled
An honest comparison for backflow testers in British Columbia: rebooking, test reports, filing with the city, and running the rest of the business. BackflowFiled prices checked October 20, 2026.
The short answer
BackflowFiled is a small Victoria service that does two things well: it emails last year's clients when their test is due, and it fills in the city's own report form from a photo of yours. You pay per booking and per report. It doesn't list scheduling, invoicing or payments. Clevra is the app you run the day in: the schedule, the test report, the repair estimate, the invoice and the card payment, with next year's test booked before you leave.
Or use both. Run the business in Clevra and send your reports through BackflowFiled where it files for you. They don't overlap much.
Clevra prices in US dollars, billed monthly; Pro is $39 a month billed yearly. BackflowFiled prices are in Canadian dollars. The two services do different jobs, so read these as costs, not like-for-like prices.
What makes Clevra different
BackflowFiled starts when the test is over. Clevra starts when the customer's notice from the water supplier lands on their counter.

Build the form once with the fields your water supplier wants. One form per city if their layouts differ. Pro and up.
Email on every plan, text on Pro and up for customers who opt in.
Every plan, including Free. Clevra takes no platform fee on card payments.
Answers the phone while you're under a sink with the test kit, and puts the request in your inbox.
A draft report from your readings and photos, ready to read over and send.
