If you used iAuditor, you've watched it change names twice. The app became SafetyCulture in 2022, and on August 11, 2026 the company and platform became Mitti. Same checklists, same app, new logo. More than 80,000 organizations use it for safety audits, site walks and inspections.
Most of them are running inspections for themselves: a warehouse walk, a store audit, a toolbox talk. Trade crews are different. A fire, backflow or concrete scanning company inspects for a client, sends that client a report, prices the repair and bills for it. That's where people start looking for a SafetyCulture alternative. The inspection works fine; everything after it happens in other apps.
This guide compares six inspection apps for crews that work for clients. We make Clevra, so it's listed first. We'll also say where Mitti and the forms apps do better, because on photo markup, offline use and analytics they do.
Prices were checked on each company's own site on October 28, 2026.
The free plan is generous for a small team that only needs checklists. A five-person crew on Premium pays $120 a month billed yearly, and still estimates and invoices somewhere else.
Reviewers on G2, Capterra and GetApp like the app. The complaints that keep coming up are these:
Clevra is one web app that takes a job from the first call to the paid invoice, with a Technician app for the field (iOS, in beta on TestFlight). It's built for 1 to 15 people: a backflow tester working alone, or a scanning company with four techs and an office manager.
The report. Build your inspection once as a checklist: yes/no items, readings, dropdowns, photos and a signature, with required items marked. Fill it in on site, and Clevra won't issue the report until the required answers, photos and signature are done. The client gets a numbered inspection report with your logo, a cover photo and numbered photos, by email or a secure link that works for a year. Revisions keep a reason and a history, and a report sent by mistake can be voided. Reports are on Pro and up.

The repair. A failed check valve or a cracked baffle is the next job. Price it from your price book, send the estimate, and the client approves it online. Approved estimates become jobs on the schedule.
The money. Generate Invoice on the job, and the client pays by card from the link with no Clevra platform fee. They can find every report, estimate and invoice in their client portal.
AI. The AI Receptionist answers your Clevra business number while you're under a sink, takes down the caller's request, reads it back and files it in your inbox. It's an add-on for Pro and Business; book a demo to switch it on. On Pro and up, the AI Business Assistant answers questions from your own data, like "Which inspections from last month haven't been invoiced?"
Pricing. Flat per company, not per seat (compare plans):
Where Clevra falls short. Clevra has no photo markup, no offline checklists and no analytics across sites, so Mitti and the forms apps are ahead for internal audits. There's no ready-made template library; you build your own forms. The Technician app can't take photos or signatures yet, so those questions are filled from the web app on a phone. The free plan is one user without reports, where Mitti's covers ten seats. There's no Android app, and card payments are in US dollars only.
Lumiform is a Berlin company founded in 2019 for frontline teams in retail, food, manufacturing and logistics. It has unlimited templates, branded reports and AI that builds forms from your old paper checklists or uploads.
Professional starts at €16 per user a month, shown in local currency, and Enterprise is on request. Approvals, integrations and the API are add-ons. It has no scheduling of client visits, estimates or invoicing.
GoAudits started in 2016 and is still run by its founders. It's built for hospitality, retail, facilities and healthcare audits, with photo markup, offline mode, action plans, branded reports and signatures.
Starter is $10 per user a month billed yearly, and Enterprise is $30. Starter allows two photos per question, and scheduling is Enterprise only. There's a 14-day trial and a 60-day money-back guarantee.
GoCanvas, founded in 2008 in Reston, Virginia, has belonged to Nemetschek since July 2024. Unlike most forms apps, it includes dispatch and scheduling on every plan, along with offline mode, PDF reports and more than 1,000 integrations.
Plans are $29, $39 and $49 per user a month billed yearly, with a 3-user minimum. It doesn't do estimates or invoices. See our GoCanvas alternatives guide.
FastField has been part of Quickbase since June 2023. Its forms work offline and stamp each entry with GPS and time, which helps when a client disputes when or where an inspection happened. AI tools that convert paper forms and read labels are included.
Core is $24 per seat a month and Pro is $36; Enterprise is custom. Core allows 5 custom report templates and Pro allows 100. There's no free plan and no invoicing.
Device Magic has been part of GoCanvas since January 2022. It's a forms builder for construction, energy and logistics teams that need data pushed into other systems: Google Drive, OneDrive, Dropbox or Slack. Forms work offline and take photos and signatures.
Prices aren't published; plans are per user, billed yearly, with a 3-user minimum. There's no scheduling or invoicing.
Most inspection apps were built for the first job: a manager checks that a site meets a standard. Trade crews do the second: a tech inspects someone else's equipment and hands over a report the client paid for. Before you pick, ask three questions:
For internal audits, Lumiform and GoAudits are the closest matches, and GoAudits costs less per user. For trade crews that inspect for clients and bill the work, Clevra puts the report, estimate and invoice in one app.
Yes. SafetyCulture renamed its company and platform Mitti on August 11, 2026. The app was called iAuditor until 2022, then SafetyCulture.
Free for up to 10 seats with 5 active templates. Premium is $24 per seat a month billed yearly, or $29 billed monthly. Enterprise is priced per site.
Mitti itself is free for up to 10 seats. Clevra's free plan covers one user with estimates, jobs, invoices and card payments; its inspection reports start on Pro at $49 a month for up to 5 users.
It depends on who gets the report. For audits of your own sites, Mitti or GoAudits. For inspections you send to clients and then bill, an app that also does estimates and invoices, like Clevra, saves the retyping.
Yes. Clevra issues a numbered PDF with your logo, photos and the signature, and sends it by email or a secure link. The client also sees it in their portal. Reports are on Pro, Business and Custom.
Run one inspection start to finish: fill it on site, send the report, price the repair, invoice it and get paid. The Free plan has no end date, and Pro or Business are free for 14 days, no card.

You run a crew, not a tech company. Clevra handles the office stuff so you can stay on the tools.
